JROTC was my 4 year experience. It helped me develop self-confidence, leadership skills, and leadership abilities. The impact of service-learning on my life helped me become a better citizen by helping others. JROTC helps you to plan for the future. JROTC helped me stay focused, motivated, and on track. JROTC exists to inspire young people and make them better citizens. JROTC was a great way to get fit and improve my military skills. JROTC gives you the chance to gain skills through participation in different teams, such as raiders and marksmanship. JROTC is a great addition to a resume. Most jobs require someone who can lead and take responsibility. JROTC taught me self-discipline, accountability and how to hold myself accountable for my actions. JROTC helps you to be honest and truthful with others and yourself. JROTC taught how to marche, hand salute, as well as Army and Cadet ranks.

Service-Learning is an educational strategy that teaches civic responsibility. It builds community. Service-learning improves the academic curriculum and educational components of the program. My experience with service-learning taught me how important it is to reflect on my community service and take something away. My classmates as well as I were able to participate at Cleveland High School in community service. JROTC demands that every Cadet participates in a Service Learning Project. Student involvement is key to service-learning, which brings academics alive. Students can directly impact a specific need that is important to them. It requires structured lessons. Training and orientation are required before service. Reflection is needed after. The service-learning approach addresses a local need or regional industry, and it is relevant to student’s courses. General volunteer is just about helping the community. A soup kitchen volunteer’s role is not limited to what they do at the soup kitchen. However, service-learning is not limited to the actual rendered service. Service-learning is a strategy for education that incorporates community service and instruction with reflection. It can enrich learning experiences and teach civic responsibility. It also strengthens communities. For me, service means being unselfish. It means helping someone else and not expecting any rewards or gains. I consider service to others as helping people when they can’t do it themselves. Serving Others – Matthew 22.39. Serving others is a way of living the Christian life. We should show kindness and love to all people, even those who don’t treat us well. There are many ways to help others. We should use them all. Serving others is the best way to achieve success. Serving others is the key to success. Serving others is like renting a room in the Heavens.
